Role: Junior Finance Associate
Location: Ramallah
Department: Finance and Accounting
About the Role:
We are looking for a junior candidate to support the financial department by managing daily tasks. The candidate will be a part of the professional team working to maintain order and transparency for the company’s finances.
The ideal candidate will be well versed in accounting principles and able to work comfortably with numbers and attention to details.
The goal is to contribute to the overall operation efficiency of the department and help the management to be aware of its financial condition.
Responsibilities:
• Assist senior finance members with daily accounting matters including: updating accounts receivable, accounts payable and issue invoices
• Follow up with on-field clients regarding account receivable issues to insure timely payments
• Follow up with various financial institutions and government agencies on routine business matters
• Posting and processing journal entries to ensure all business transactions are recorded
• Assist senior finance members in the preparation of monthly/yearly closings
• Prepare and submit weekly/monthly reports
• Assist with other accounting projects as needed
Requirements:
• BSc/BA in Accounting, Finance or related field
• 1-3 years of proven experience as a junior accountant
• Excellent organizing abilities
• Great attention to detail
• Ability to analyze and handle numbers and figures
• Good understanding of accounting and financial reporting principles and practices
• Excellent knowledge of MS Office and familiarity with relevant computer software
